HEUER

HEUER Radsport has evolved from the company sports group of Heuer Präzisionsteile GmbH . Cycling is both a balance and a passion. Together we take part in various events throughout Germany. We traditionally ride the Lake Constance Marathon every year. Back in the fall of 2016, we tested our first self-made wheel hubs in self-stored wheels. That was a great feeling for us. It was really fun to experience this smooth running and the speed of rolling alone. We rolled along sensationally. This was the starting signal for the consistent further development of bicycle hubs.

We got to know Jochen Dornbusch. At the time, he was the state coach at the Baden state association and trained the young female athletes. He brought us together with Joachim Eilers. Together we developed our first track bike hubs. Classically polished aluminum, precisely manufactured and with new tempered steel axles.

In spring 2017, Katie Archibald and Joachim Eilers tested our first track bike hubs in stored carbon wheels with 80mm sidewalls during training. What we initially initiated as a side-project , we have gradually developed into a genuine top product after receiving positive feedback from both athletes in recent years. HEUER track bike hubs have become a brand. Many other competitive athletes now also rely on the quality. Today, we proudly ride our own carbon aero wheels with the Heuer logo and offer them to ambitious racing cyclists as high-quality accessories.

In 2017, the first track bikes were ridden by the junior squad athletes in Baden-Württemberg. Thanks to close contact with Jochen Dornbusch, we were able to further perfect the first prototypes. Our CNC machines at Heuer Präzisionsteile GmbH are used to produce all turned and milled parts for bicycle hubs with the quality that is customary in mechanical engineering. The company WNT Germany GmbHCerazitit Group provided us with significant support in tool development so that we could machine the rail wheel hubs according to our specifications. We produced these special tools in collaboration with WNT. This effort has paid off, because we are setting standards with the result.

We tested our first track wheels in the spring. In late fall, we then introduced the 5-spoke and the disk wheel for the track. Robert Förstemann tested the first set for the first time at the Six-Days in Berlin. He is still enthusiastic about this wheelset.

Twist and milled parts are manufactured in-house on our CNC machines in the quality that is customary for Heuer Präzisionsteile GmbH. In this way, we provide cyclists with the same quality and precision that our customers from the industry and mechanical engineering expect for many years.

Precision wheels for ambitious athletes

The bearing seats, fits and all other parts of the wheel hubs are manufactured individually in accordance with current industry standards. Our experience, for example in the manufacture of high-precision spindle drives, forms the basis for a really smooth-running road bike, track or fixed hub. We adapt the seals of the bearings to the requirements of the hubs.

Our claim:

Heuer Radsport: We want to set new standards in racing in terms of precision, smooth running and quality. And it is crucial for us that this is done sustainably and as environmentally friendly as possible. That is why we also rely on well-known suppliers in the region.

And the successes of the athletes who put their trust in us are already impressive after just one year! At the German Championships on the track in Dudenhofen, athletes have won medals in 17 disciplines with HEUER wheels. HEUER Radsport has established itself as a brand in track cycling.
