Wheelset track HLT80 high flange Harlekin
The HLT80 high-flange Harlekin track wheelset is designed for the race track. The performance and quality characterize these wheels. The heart of the wheelset is our high-flange track wheel hub. The flanks of this track wheel hub are turned into the spoke angle. This gives this wheelset a high level of stability. The hub is mounted on industrial bearings. The bearing play is adjustable.
Especially in endurance disciplines on the cycling track, this wheelset has enormous advantages thanks to its agility, stability and aerodynamics.
We have summarized the first test results:
- Runs extremely smoothly, wheels turn without noticeable resistance
- Front wheel
Aerodynamically optimized track wheel hub radially spoked
- Rear wheel
Special stability due to high hub flanges
- Good grip thanks to tubular tires
The specifications for wheelset Bahn HLT80 high flange Harlekin:
- Rim 28″ (700C) 80mm sidewall height
- Carbon rim / tubular
- Front wheel with Sapim CX-Ray spokes
20 or 24 spokes radially spoked (0.9×2.2mm)

The advantage of these spoked wheels on the track is the good control that the rider has even during fast maneuvers, such as in the endurance disciplines on the track.
Attention with threads:
For historical reasons, there are different threads for track wheel hubs.
DIN, ISO and BSA threads have a flank angle of 60°
ITA thread has a flank angle of 55 degrees
The following thread variants are available from HEUER:
BSA 1.37″x24TPI
ITA M35x24TPI
ISO 1.375″x24 TPI on request.
The rear wheel hub for the track is manufactured by us without a lockring.
For Shimano it is the BSA thread
For Campagnolo it is the ITA thread
Incorrect sprocket threads can damage the hubs.
Ensure that the threads (manufacturer) are correctly paired.
