HEUER-Radsport relies on Wolfpack tires

After our successful tests, we opted for Wolfpack tires as original equipment for the HEUER wheelsets.

In the fall of 2018, we tested the first RACE road tires as clinchers on our HEUER wheels. To anticipate our experiences and the result right away: We were quickly impressed and know that this tire suits our products. We would like to summarize our test results, or rather our impressions, here.

During assembly, we found that the tire snapped onto the rim with a little pressure, but then without an assembly tool. For a mechanical engineer, this is a successful fit. Following Wolfgang Arenz's recommendation, we fitted 24 mm at the front for good control and 26 mm at the rear for more comfort. We chose a pressure of 7.5 bar. This is actually ideal for our carbon rims. After the first long lap, I just had a big grin on my face. It was just a really good feeling to ride this new tire. The tire compensated very well for bumps on cycle paths and it felt like it rolled easily. There was still plenty of reserve in fast, tight bends. Gradually, the brakes were applied and it always left the impression of never losing control. In conclusion: simply MegaGrip!

Over the course of our season, we had many opportunities to talk to licensed athletes about their experiences with Wolfpack tires at our HEUER Cup. Overall, we can only pass this on as all-round positive feedback.
The good rolling behavior and the reserves in the wet give the athletes a good and safe driving experience even with fast criteria.

Wolfpack tires on test - Cotton Race with TPU inner tube

René wants to take part in the Race around Austria 2020 in the SOLO Challenge this year. He has set himself the goal of finishing in the single-digit range.

The Race Around Austria CHALLENGE covers 560 kilometers and around 6,500 meters of altitude. This distance is designed as a 24-hour race and takes our René along the Austrian border. We will be supporting him on this challenge with a support vehicle. The number of participants is limited to 50.

Everything has to fit in this race. That's why René tested the combination of Cotton Race and TPU tube.
René was a little worried that this combination would be too sensitive for his project. In total, René has now ridden over 1,000 km and everything has held up. He has not spared the tire, bike paths, gravel, grit ... none of that was a problem.
In combination with the PU tube, the rolling behavior and grip are simply excellent according to his assessment. He did not notice any loss of pressure compared to other tubes. He likes the brown rim. For long distances, he gives the combination a full 5 stars and gives it a clear recommendation. We wish René every success with his preparations and keep our fingers crossed that this event can take place.
