Heuer LongDistance 2023 - Stuttgart / Vienna - 700+

Heuer LongDistance 2023 - Self-supported from Stuttgart to Vienna with a distance of approx. 750 km.
First of all, Heuer LongDistance is not a race, we ride for fun and stick to the rules below.

The idea for this event

We would like to offer cycling enthusiasts a framework for completing an ambitious long distance.drive.
The focus is on preparation, sharing experiences and having fun, and we have already received a lot of encouragement for this idea.
Anyone (even without registration) is welcome to accompany and support us on the route.

Start is in Stuttgart (Heuer Radsport, Buchenteich 3, 73773 Aichwald), leads over the Alb and along the Danube to Vienna.
The route is pre-planned, about 750 km long and will have 3,500 hm have.
On the way, you can expect one or two tasks as part of a challenge with prizes along the planned tour.
You can deviate from the planned route at any time or plan it completely yourself.

Event details:

Our framework conditions are briefly outlined here:

• Opening on 13.05.2023 from 12 noon
  Pasta party and briefing at HEUER Radsport
• Start of the first participants at 2 pm
  Pleasure riders with a stage goal of approx. 100 km per day
• Start of the remaining participants in groups
  or alone on the following days according to your own schedule
• Meeting of all participants on Saturday 20.05.2023
  between 12 noon and 2 p.m. in a beer garden
  approx. 30-40 km from the center of Vienna
• Cycle together to Vienna at a moderate pace,
  so that we don't lose anyone on the final stage
• Joint arrival 20.05.2023 3-4 p.m.
  in the center of Vienna, every finisher is celebrated together
• Challenges along the suggested route:

We organize:

• Forum for information exchange for all participants:
  Here you can discuss topics such as "luggage on the bike" / "nutrition during the ride" and get together in groups to ride together.
• Tracking of all participants via the Spotwalla app (dot-watching):
  The map with the position of all participants can also be viewed without a Spotwalla account. This means that friends and relatives can also follow you during the tour. Your GPS position is recorded at regular intervals via the cell phone app and entered on the map. To be on the safe side, you should have a power bank with you to charge your cell phone on the way. Participation in dot-watching is voluntary. If you are interested, you are welcome to create an account.
• We take one piece of hand luggage for each participant to Vienna

We will use any surplus from this event to promote young talent within the framework of the
the Tour de Berlin use.

Conditions for participation:

• It is not a race, we ride according to the respective road traffic regulations.
• Each participant rides at their own risk and expense.
• We require the wearing of a suitable helmet and the attachment of
