Heuer LongDistance 2024 - the new edition
We are overwhelmed by the great feedback we have received about Heuer LongDistance 2023 Stuttgart-Vienna.
All participants had a great time and the route is beautiful. That's why we're organizing the event again in 2024.

Stuttgart to Vienna with a route length of approx. 750 km, to the Alb and along the Danube, as in 2023, nothing will change.
Again, Heuer LongDistance is not a race, we ride for fun and follow the rules below.

Heuer LongDistance is aimed at cycling enthusiasts who want to tackle the ambitious long distance.
The focus is on preparation, sharing experiences and having fun.
Anyone (even without registration) is welcome to accompany and support us on the route.

Heuer LongDistance 2024 - SelfSupported - Stuttgart - Vienna - 700+

For the fifth time, we want to offer the event to a larger field of participants.
LongDistance is ambitious cycling together. Whatever LongDistance means in detail for the individual.

Our initiator and co-organizer René will be back at the start in 2024, but this time in comfort.
The route from Stuttgart to Vienna is non-stop within 24 hours. The feel-good cyclists among you can take it easy with up to eight daily stages.
Rene has many years of experience in the long distance and can give tips and help with planning.

Start is in Stuttgart (Heuer Radsport, Buchenteich 3, 73773 Aichwald), then leads to the Alb and goes along the Danube to Vienna.
The route is pre-planned, about 750 km long and will have 2,800 hm . We are also happy to receive suggestions and ideas from you.

Event details:

Our framework conditions are briefly outlined here:

• Opening on 04.05.2024 from 12 noon
  Pasta party and briefing at HEUER Radsport
• Start of the first participants at 2 pm
  with a stage destination of approx. 100 km per day
• Start of the remaining participants
  in groups or alone according to your own schedule
• Meeting of all participants on Saturday 11.05.2024
  between 12 noon and 2 p.m. in the beer garden
  approx. 30-40 km from the center of Vienna
  for a midday snack
• Cycle together to Vienna at a moderate pace,
  so that we don't lose anyone on the final stage
• Joint arrival 11.05.2024 approx. 4 p.m.
  in the center of Vienna, every finisher is celebrated together
• Challenges along the suggested route:
  the evaluation of the challenges with handover of the
  Winners' prizes will be awarded at a follow-up meeting.

We organize:

• Forum for information exchange for all participants:
  Here you can discuss topics such as "luggage on the bike" / "nutrition during the ride" and get together in groups to ride together.
• Tracking of all participants via the Spotwalla app (dot-watching):
  The map with the position of all participants can also be viewed without a Spotwalla account. This means that friends and relatives can also follow you during the tour. Your GPS position is recorded at regular intervals via the cell phone app and entered on the map. To be on the safe side, you should have a power bank with you to charge your cell phone on the way. Participation in dot-watching is voluntary. If you are interested, you are welcome to create an account.
• We take one piece of hand luggage for each participant to Vienna Size of hand luggage max 45x30x20 cm, 10kg
• We take the luggage from the bike and load it directly on arrival
• The bikes are loaded on Sunday before departure and transported safely and securely in a bike transport trailer
• We are organizing a coach so that we can come back to Stuttgart together with our bikes, departure in Vienna Sunday, 12.05.2024 directly after breakfast. Arrival Aichwald approx. 18:00 hrs
• We create a road book including challenges
• We'll come up with a few more ideas. Let us surprise you!

  Please note: Overnight stays are not included in the scope of services.

Any surplus from this event will be used to promote young talent as part of the Tour de Berlin - International Youngsters Race use.

Conditions for participation in the Heuer LongDistance 2024:

• It is not a race, we ride according to the respective road traffic regulations.
• Each participant rides at their own risk and expense.
• We require the wearing of a suitable helmet and the fitting of suitable lighting for night riding.
• We do it all for fun and for the love of cycling
• Health and fun are the key to this event.
• The data collected during registration will be used exclusively for the organization and communication of this event.
