On Saturday, July 29, 2023, the second Kirchheim Cycling Night took place. The race was organized by Cicling Friends Passione powered by Jannik Steimle.

47 riders started on this initially sunny day. Marius Mayrhofer (DSM-Firmenich), Mauro Schmid (Soudal Quick-Step) and Jannik Steimle (Soudal Quick-Step) were among those at the start.

The first leading group formed within a quarter of an hour. Among them were the 3 favorites Marius Mayrhofer (DSM-Firmenich), Mauro Schmid (Soudal Quick-Step) and Jannik Steimle (Soudal Quick-Step), as well as Daniel Bichlmann (54×11), Luka Zetsche (Bike-Aid Development) and a rider from AC Sparta Praha Cycling. The chase was primarily led by the riders from Equipe Stuttgart Vaihingen, who had no one in the leading group at the time.

Torrential rain set in during the middle of the race. Numerous spectators put up their umbrellas or sought shelter near the race course and braved the weather until the end to celebrate their favorites. This break in the rain worked to the advantage of the 3 favorites, who were able to break away from the leading group. The other riders all dropped out of the peloton.

Towards the end, Jannik Steimle secured victory with an attack from the leading group. Marius Mayrhofer took 2nd place in a sprint and Mauro Schmid finished in 3rd place. The remaining chasers also had a sprint in which Florian Tenbruck (Bausch Factory Racing Team) took 4th place.
