Airfield Race at Velo Berlin ....

The Airfield Race at Velo Berlin will be held again this year for the first time since 2019. The Berliner Radsport Verband e.V. (BRV) is organizing the open state championships on 6/7 May as part of the "VELO Berlin" trade fair. The competitions are open, with everyman also eligible to start in their class.

The President of the Berlin Cycling Federation, Claudiu Ciurea, is delighted to be returning to Tempelhofer Feld with this race. This will offer the athletes a great atmosphere and a challenging course worthy of a national championship.

Up to 15,000 visitors are expected at the trade fair each day, who will hopefully also stop by the start and finish line during the races, according to sports director Philipp Tutzschke. He is very satisfied with the total number of 170 starters and the response from the athletes so far.

The two-day event is supported by the Berlin Senate Department for the Interior, Digitization and Sport.
We will accompany the national championships with the timekeeping. We will be on site with our equipment. We are looking forward to it.
