Wheelset track TBL
The TBL track wheelset has been specially developed for young cyclists. Riding pleasure and quality are the top priorities for our wheels. The centerpiece is our track hub with industrial bearings. The bearing play is adjustable. We have used the experience gained from our high-flange track wheel hubs to design this track wheel hub. The bearing seats, the axle and the bearings are identical to the high-flange track wheel hub.
This wheelset has enormous advantages, especially in the endurance disciplines for young cyclists on the track. The tires can be changed by the athletes themselves. This is an economical solution for young cyclists, as these wheels can be used both in training and in races. The T64 Rail hub set is installed in these wheels. This is in no way inferior to our high-flange hubs when it comes to smooth running.
Despite the aluminum rim, the wheel weight is almost identical.
We have summarized the first test results:
- Runs extremely smoothly, wheels turn without noticeable resistance
- The gear ratios are changed by turning the impeller
- Clincher - the tire can be easily changed
- Really fun
- Special conditions for young athletes with a license

The advantage of these spoked wheels on the track is the good control that the rider has even during fast maneuvers, such as in the endurance disciplines on the track.
Attention with threads:
For historical reasons, there are different threads for track wheel hubs.
DIN, ISO and BSA threads have a flank angle of 60°
ITA thread has a flank angle of 55 degrees
The following thread variants are available from HEUER:
BSA 1.37″x24TPI
ITA M35x24TPI
ISO 1.375″x24 TPI on request.
The rear wheel hub for the track is manufactured by us without a lockring.
For Shimano it is the BSA thread
For Campagnolo it is the ITA thread
Incorrect sprocket threads can damage the hubs.
Ensure that the threads (manufacturer) are correctly paired.
